If you are the executor or administrator of a deceased estate, it's important to know that legal costs are paid from the estate itself — not out of your own pocket.

Copeland Estates Legal is a procedural deceased estates practice. We handle straightforward estate administrations with confidence and care — probate, letters of administration, property transmissions and estate distribution.

We do not act in contested estates, Will disputes, family provision claims, or any matter where a dispute has arisen or a claim has been foreshadowed. If your estate involves a dispute or challenge, we will let you know promptly and, where we can, refer you to an appropriate firm so you are never left without guidance.

All prices are inclusive of GST. Court filing fees and disbursements (e.g. searches, certificates, PEXA fees) are additional and vary by estate. An AML/CTF compliance verification step is required for all new clients from 1 July 2026 in accordance with Australian legislative requirements — this is included in your quoted fee. Please note: Copeland Estates Legal is a procedural deceased estates practice. We do not act in contested estates, Will disputes, family provision claims, or any matter where a dispute has arisen or a claim has been notified. If your matter involves a dispute, we are happy to refer you to an appropriate firm.
